A lady goes for her endocrinologist appointment.
She decided to take with her information she found on
the internet about blood tests, how the thyroid works,
other thyroid medications and different treatments.
When the endo comes in the room, she tells him she
would like to discuss this information. With a smug
look on his face, he asked her “have you ever
heard the saying that a little bit of knowledge
can be dangerous?” She replied “yes I have. Isn’t
that why doctors have to carry malpractice insurance?
Maybe they could increase their knowledge if they
get on the internet and read posts by patients
who have experienced thyroid disease.”
