      Hi,

I had RAI and went even more hyper and then hypo as many people seem to do. I see the endo at 6 wk intervals to adjust my thyroid replacements. I started replacements 3 months post RAI, and I have been taking the replacements for 3 months now.

My question is about new symptoms I have been having. On top of the weakness and dizziness that have been common, I am now experiencing this tingling sensation in my head. The only way I can describe it is that it feels kind of like when you hit your funny bone except the tingling is in my head. It lasts only a short time (30 sec max), but can happen frequently. It generally is accompanied by increased feelings of weakness and dizziness. Has anyone else ever had this symptom? Is it common?

Other than than I am pretty positive about progressing through the treatment process and am hopefull that soon my thyroid levels will be stable.

I go back to the endo in a week and a half and I will mention the symptom to him, but I just thought I would ask here also.

      Thanks,

      John

        Hi John

I think I have had what you were describing. The way I described it to my drs. was more like a “head rush” with tingling. It seems to always be at the very top of my head. I was experiencing it a lot before I was diagnosed, and then after my T4 levels became normal, I don’t get it quite as often. The drs. didn’t have any explanation for it either.

        Cindy
