Finally, someone who knows about these products. What about Wheatgrass juice. It’s been reported to boost immunity and be rich in vitamins A, C and E as well as calcium , phosphorus, iron, potassium, cobalt and zinc. Also, do you think it would be ok to take the Spirulina again. I’ ve been kind of afraid to. I don’t no if the increase in engergy was a coincedience, if it came from being hyper or from the Sirulina. I had a big increase in energy.

      Thanks so much for responding.

I work in a health food store and on this BB I’ve mentioned several health food related things. Soooo many people come in asking for DHEA these days. It’s the hottest item going. I’ve never taken it and don’t plan to but I can tell you that you have to be very careful taking high doses (liver damage). It’s supposed to be a “wonder” supplement but, as with anything, you must be careful and do your hoemwork. DHEA is made from Wild Yam and Wild Yam is used for estrogen and problems related to estrogen ie: menopause, PMS, etc. A woman came in the other day stating that she is taking estrogen replacement and started taking DHEA and feels “weird”. You really have to know what you’re doing. As for Spirulina, it’s Blue Green Algae. Also a wonder supplement. I’ve taken blue green algae and was’nt impressed. I’ve just read that it picks up radiation in the body and gets rid of it. Was given to children near Nagasaki and Hiroshima (spellings??) and they had less effects from the radiation. Amazing if it’s true!! Spirulina is high in protein and all vitamins and minerals. I think most people use it for the protein. It’s also supposed to give you energy. I don’t think this would be a cause or trigger for Graves’. Anyway, maybe this will be helpful.
