I can’t agree more with what Bobbi stated in her response. I have a friend who runs the county nursing facility. He shared with me the story of a nurse practitioner who was administering her own treatments for graves disease. She basically was not receiving proper medical attention in the form of ATD’s, and/or RAI/surgery. She let the disease go for too long with propoer attention and is now in the nursing home in very critical condition. It’s easy to question the ways of Western medicine and want a more natural cure. However, all of the reading seems to indicate that there is a much higher success rate with our current Western treatments of ATD’s and either RAI or surgery. While there is a small percentage who incur enduring problems, I agree that any treatment to help alleviate symptoms should not exclude ATD’s and regular follow up with your doctor. The alternative wouldn’t seem worth it in this case !!!
