1. It sticks out to be that you are taking a beta blocker in conjunction with the methimazole. If your doctor was aware of this before he/she prescribed methimazole, you are okay. Otherwise, you may want to mention it to him/her.
2. If you have a fever, call the doctor IMMEDIATELY. Other “red flag” side effects are sore throat, headache, chills, unusual bleeding, skin eruptions or jaundice. These CAN be an indication of immunity or liver problems that are associated with a small number of patients taking methimazole.
