      If you’re taking anti-thyroid drugs, there is a rare side effect called agranulocytosis. It has to do with your white blood cells getting killed off. The major symptoms are a bad sore throat and (I think) sometimes a fever. If you’re taking ATD’s and get these symptoms, you should call your doctor. He/she may order a complete blood count (CBC) to check on your white blood cell count.

        Hi there i talked to my Dr on monday,( my Endo) and said i am within the high end of normal. Ok i asked him y i have such a sore throat not a cold sore throat. He said well if you get a fever call us ASAP i was wondering why he said that. I forgot to ask i was at work when i talked to him so not much time to. Anyways he did say that in July, when i go back that we will talk about surgery / RAI so i am just wondering if anyone can tell me about the fever thing adn what can happen i would be glad.
