        Hi Everyone,

Thought I would fill you in on my BRT experience and how I am doing. I have been off all medicine since Sept. of 99, Doctor said that I had a 50/50 chance of goinmg into remission. I was on ATDs and T4.

I find it funny that last month when my levels where normal I was having heart palps. I was told a few days ago that my hyperthyroidism has returned. Of course I have been feeling great just prior to being told. and I still feel good.

My doctor now wants to do RAI, and I do not, he agreed to recheck my blood so I am now waiting for the results. I feel my levels have stabalized. Maybe I have stabilized anythings possible I guess. This disease is so crazy.

My doc wants RAI, I have to make a choice soon.. any words of wisdom would be helpfull.. I could do the ATDs again.. or Have RAI or Surgery,Decisions I hate this.. what to do???

I hope you are all well Thanks Reneetoo

Reneetoo, CEM will have to tell us if she is hypo or not, but it’s entirely possible that she is not. My understanding was that the purpose of administering T4 in her case was to shut down her own thyroid’s production, with the idea that this would make it less susceptible to a recurrence of hyperthyroidism.
