Hello,i was told to get off beta blockers after rai as well.
There are alot of people still on them and i’m starting
to think about going back myself but not sure yet.

I have deveolped stomach problems due to rai, i want to know
if anyone else is hear with me, my gp and i think that rai might

I know there have been alot of postings re:beta-blockers but is anyone out there still on them after RAI. I had RAI 12/94 and became hypo in early ’95. I was on beta-blockers before the RAI, personally a lifesaver, after becoming hypo I was taken off the beta-blockers. Palpitations returned, though not nearly so bad and I was told I could return to the beta-blockers. I must add that I do have Mitral Valve Prolapse which may be why I had trouble before but a cardiologist did not seem to agree with the internist I was seeing, and thought the beta-blockers were not necessary. I must say after feeling like I did before RAI and after becoming extremely hypo, I am scared to stop the meds I am currently taking. Just wondered if anyone else with GD continued with Beta-blockers after RAI????? Julie T.
