InactiveApril 2, 1997 at 2:11 amPost count: 93172Went to the endo last week, he wanted to do RAI – I was glad as my symptoms have worsened since I had to stop taking Tapazole. He took some blood and told me to call him today. He said “GOOD NEWS! Your levels are within ranges!” (TSH is .7 normal is .4-5.2) Now he wants me to come back in 3 months. I asked him why I still have symptoms and he has no idea. I’ve apparently been borderline and sliding in and out of normal for years with symptoms. I’m ready for another opinion. Anyone in the Philadelphia area have an endo they like?

I had my first visit with an endo yesterday and at first he told me that he had never seens numbers as bad as mine. I am very hyperthyroid I have grave’s disease. He then started explaining to me about the radiation pill that would kill my thyroid, and I told him I did not want to do that right now. I am taking Tapazole and also propranolol I believe thats the right spelling anyway when he checked my pulse it was 62 very low for me and my blood pressure was 100 overe 62 which is also very low for me, so he is taking off part of the propranolol and he took blood when he gets the results back he willlet me know and maybe I can take less of the tapazole, I have only been on this medication since April 20th, so needless to say I am very happy about the appt. I have a lot of people praying for me and I believe that GOD CAN AND WILL HEAL ME. I know everyone says that stress is bad for this condition and I work for the state attorney’s office as a victim advocate which is someone who works with victims of crimes so my job is somewhat stressful I am a mother with my youngest in college and also a grandmother of 3 so I have a very busy life, but even with all that the medicine is working and I am feeling great. So to everyone fighting this disease HANG IN THERE AND REMEMBER GOD IS IN CONTROL!!!!!!! My prayers are with you all.
