Well, it looks like I’ll keep the PC for a while longer.
My employer has offered to let me work from 9-2, Keep my same
rate of pay, provide more staff, get me a cell phone and pager for emergencies.
My family is delighted, especially my son who I checked out of daycare. I weill be
able to see my Dad more often before he is no longer with us.
The homework was done without having to get up at 5 am (and I haven’t
been dead on my feet) and my son even got to play outside with his buddies
on a week night. (A very big deal indeed.) My colleagues are pleased.
I am happy for my son, me and spouse-who is showing great signs of support!
It is nice to know that there are
progressive employeers. (I have been with them for 26 years and have
been fortunate to have seen many successes.) It is good to know that
there are even business folks who care even in the era of downsizing.
Bless them all. Bless my family, friends and colleagues for being
such great supporters. And Bless the support from this BB.

Wow, Julie, what terrific good news. It sounds like a perfect compromise for everybody. I’m really happy for you.
