I didn’t exactly mean that the ATD’s don’t suppress the antibodies, I just have a feeling that it is not directly…I personally believe from my own research that the thyroid, when it can’t convert the hormones it is trying to convert because of ATD’s, fights back in a way, perhaps destroying or diverting the antibodies…in fact I have read studies from John Hopkins (or Johns Hopkins, can’t remember right now) that has inplied that they believe that the eye problems stem from the thyroid fighting off the antibodies, and they go to the eyes. As they change to the eyes they become a slightly different antibodies. They (John Hopkins) found a link between the two antibodies, and I guess they were able to simulate a chemical reaction that converted one to the other.
I don’t understand the whole thing, just trying to remember it right!
Again, I don’t believe that ATD’s are for everyone, but for those coming here looking for advice, it certainly doesn’t hurt to try them.
And all you have to do is wait three days off the ATDs to have the RAI.

Good Luck, and I apologize if I seem controversial(sp?)!
