Hi everyone! I just received one of my magazines today and there was
an article in it I found interesting. It states:

Good news for the 20 to 40 percent of people who cannot combat depression
with the first antidepressant they try. Combining a commom thyroid
hormone, triiodothyronine (T3), with antidepressants may help fight depression.
According to “Dr.X” a professor of medicine at the University of Toronto,
a review of 30 years of clinical trials shows that the T3 hormone worked
well with the older pre-Prozac class of antidepressants. but the treatment
never became popular and has never been retested with Prozac-era drugs.
“We’re issuing a wake-up call” says the Dr. “We’ve got to test T3 with the
new generation of antidepressants.” A link between depression and thyroid
disease has never been proven but clinical trials could address the possibility
    of such a link.

    Duh!!!

    Shannon. :)

Hi Shannon, I wouldn’t mind knowing the name of the magazine and article
reference. That could be interesting for so many people to take to their docs
and discuss. Print it here? Thanks. How you doing?

T3?? Did you say T3? But that’s not common in the USA since they’re only
    giving T4 – synthroid.
