I felt the same way post-RAI and on Synthroid for 2 years (in my opinion, it’s ca-ca). I found a doctor who would prescibe good, old-fashioned Armour and I now feel great 99% of the time. Did you hear that? I feel great – not good, not tolerable, not so-so. Before you give up, find a better medical professional who is willing to admit that Synthroid is not the only answer. There are generics, Cytomel – T3 can be added to your Synthroid regimin, Thyrolar – synthetic T3, T4 is another option. Look for a doctor with a more wholistic approach or perhaps find one who did not graduate in the bottom of his/her class yesterday or try a D.O. Check at several pharmacies and ask for names of doctors who prescribe alternatives like Armour and Thyrolar. Get mad!!! It’s your life! Take charge of it! A pox on those who want us to believe ‘thou shalt have no other God before you but Synthroid.’

I don’t want to live with approximations determining my bodily functions.

To me that is NOT really living..
