My latest Tsh test (3.39) is still in the normal range although its near the end of normal but they say i may not need any meds after all. it has stablized! I stil feel foggy headed and exhausted by noon..I do hot yoga 2 days a week and walk almost every day about 1-2 miles. After that I am done and worn out! I still get sinus drainage now and then but I think it may be allergies but not sure. I have never been allergic to pollen or the like but I think the RAI must’ve changed that. I have to rest but cannot sleep during the day.

I guess I should be thankful I still have some function of the thyroid although my RAI dosage was very small. The goiter has also shrunk about 80%. I have gained 5 lbs and feel tired a lot but I did also when I was Hyper. So I guess i am one of the lucky ones who doesn’t need any meds..It wil be 1 year as of May 9th since the RAI! I really can’t complain much at my age, I will be 62 in June. I am thankful its turned out good, didn’t realize this until i saw all the meds others have to take.

I know how you feel. I had RAI last May and I am being checked once a month or so because I feel so exhausted all the time. They keep telling me I am in the normal range but it is NOT normal feeling to me! I was hyper so long I don’t know how I am supposed to feel but I feel really old because I am so tired all the time! They keep telling me I must have a virus or something because I am still in the “normal range”…I guess I am not normal! Drives me crazy! Dry skin and dry eyes too. Feel bloated because of slower digestion too…this is not in my head! I just got a blood draw today so hopefully I will find out Friday if I am “normal” or just crazy!

I got hives from the tapazole, maybe you should stop taking it? I was told to because its an allergic reaction! Yikes.

I had a lot of the same symptoms you had and also got real dizzy and saw spots before my eyes. Luckily I went to the Dr for checkup and blood tests. They found I had very low TSH. I knew the Graves had come back. I originally had it about 13 years ago, took tapazole for 6 months then quit that because of hives! So I was good for 10 years then it came back. Since the RAI I have had a sinus drip down the back of my throat! Horrible taste in my mouth but my sinuses are just now starting to stop the post nasal drip. I have been taking 1000 mg of vitamin C a day and its getting bettter!! I am starting to feel better all the time but going Hypo they say slowly. I will take meds if and when I have to.

Hope things go good for you!! Good luck!!

I had my RAI way back in May 2014. Still in the normal range, at least a month ago I was. Not sure now but they said my TSH was 3.5 and over 4.0 is the beginning of Hypo. I was told it would take 18 weeks but that would have been around end of October! MY dosage was small compared to others, 30mc. I hope it stays so I won’t have to take meds but they say eventually I will go hypo. I guess its wait and see.

My symptoms have been very dry skin and eyes. Sometimes in the mornings I almost can’t open my eyes because they are so dry (?). I also had thinning hair but now its coming back slowly! Yey for that! I have also had a few aches and pains. My main complaint is that I am tired a lot.

Sometimes I still have a hard time sleeping so I do eat a small home made marijuna brownie and it helps me sleep good! (I live in WA and have a medical card!)

Oh also my thyoid has gone way down from a big hot nodule on the left side, and its almost back to normal size!!

I had taken meds for hyperthyoid over 12 years ago and then got allergic to it so I stopped it. I was doing ok for about 10 years then it became over active again so they advised me to do the RAI and be done with it. I am glad I did it and hopefully it will be ok once it stablizes. I have only gained 4 lbs and that is suprising to me even though my digestion has slowed way down.

I inherited it from my maternal Grandmother who also got the eye disease. I am thankful I did not get that but I have had an eye infection I think from my eyes being so dry.

Good luck to you and I hope this info helps you in some way! God Bless!
