    I’ve had my vit D checked over the years due to other immune diseases, but my endo called last week to tell my my levels were low. my pcp put me on 50,000 capsules 2xweek.
    I would call your primary doc and see about an Rx

    I’m not sure if they cause them – I have had night sweats on and off for years…I will say that when I was very hyper (before starting on meds) that I had bad ones again – would wake up soaked…I wonder if it is related?
    I don’t think I’ve had any bad ones since starting the medications…

    Hello;
    When I started on Tapazole, my doctor was concerned about my liver since I was showing involvement prior to starting meds. She tested my liver function once a week for three weeks to be certain the Tapazole wasn’t making it worse…it actually got better, my endo said it was probably the Graves causing the problems with the liver function.

    I don’t believe they normally test your liver if there is no problem starting out on the meds until they do the 5 week bloodwork…but I might be wrong.

    I started on 5 mg/day – I prefer to start with a low dose and increase if needed rather than start high and possibly have issues. I am also worried about weight gain – I have gained 5 lb back that I lost prior to starting meds…not happy.

    Anyway, the low dose is helping – it may go a bit slower (I started around 7 weeks ago). My endo thinks that I may be down to 2.5 mg/day in January or February if my numbers continue to improve.

    Good luck:)
