Thanks Karen! I will keep those in mind if these slip overs don’t do the trick!,

I’m so sorry you are going through this again.

Is there any way to get a second opinion? I’m surprised the dr called and told you this over the phone.

I wish I could be of more help to you.

My only thought is do you think they would consider or you would consider a hysterectomy ? That way you wouldn’t have to go through this again? I don’t know if its something you’ve discussed or if I’m totally out of line here.

I hope you get some relief soon.

@vanillasky was that the diet you posted earlier from your Cleveland visit?

From what I gather so far, this diet is just chicken fish and certain fruits and veggies.

Not planning on stopping my meds mind you. Just was trying to help my body along in the healing process.

I know a few people here eat clean diets. This seems like the same thing. Eating clean whole foods.

I will let you know more as I read on.

Thanks Harpy this is interesting! I remember when I was the most hyper I felt like I had to eat constantly, almost every hour or I would feel like passing out. Back many years ago when I believe my thyroid problems started being slightly hypo, I often had problems with keeping stable blood sugar as well and had to eat high protein meals frequently to feel okay.

    Hi raspberry!

Just wondering if your blood sugar problems cleared up when your levels evened out?

    Hi!!

I think I went hypo within about 2 months or so after having the RAI.

I think everyone’s body is different and will react differently to the meds. I know someone here had it done and had a similar experience to you.

Hopefully they will chime in and give you some advice…

Thank you Shirley. I will look at my drugstore for those. I’m getting pretty desperate…

I was quite lucky. I went to my gyne thinking I was in peri menopause. Asked him to run bloodwork and he suggested running thyroid panel. Called me a few days later to let me know my TSH was at .01.

I love my gyne. He’s a one of a kind dr.

Just wondering what the difference is between the TSI test and TRAB test?

Does it seem odd that selenium is thought to be good for us thyroid patients and now there’s a link between thyroid patients and diabetes?
