Same issue here. My endo confirmed allergy to the Tapazole. She is concerned about liver damage so she want me to have RA instead. Right away. I’m doing some alternative med research including diet changes.

The doctor wants me to stop the tapazole and thinks it is an allergy. However, she has not seen the rash. She wants me to have RA next week. If it could possibly be the hyperthyroidism and not the drug I’d rather remain on the drug as the other treatment options sound more invasive or have more serious side effects.

    I think I need a second opinion.

    Thanks for the info Kimberly.

I’m a fan of Dr Weil and trust his research. In this article he gives an anti inflammatory diet as well as a couple of good supplements for Graves.

I am recently diagnosed with hyperthyroid and Graves. I do have the symptoms you referred to: puffy eyelid and some brownish discoloration, plus some pressure at times. My endocrinologist took one look and said it is from the Graves.
As Kimberly said, I am considering an ophthalmologist before it gets worse.
