in reply to: Well, here goes! #1173511
Well I was MIA yesterday distracted by video games. My throat pain has seem to subsided, had problems sleeping last night tossed and turned to the wee hours of the morning. Feeling pretty good now still hot but it is around high 70’s to low 80’s out which is very welcome here in central texas. all windows open and enjoying the fresh air.
in reply to: Well, here goes! #1173502Good to hear you came to terms with the decision of the RAI, I also feel good about doing it. I slept like a Rock last night once I finally fell asleep around 1 am-11 am, still feeling warm , and my throat is unbelievably sore but that was expected.
in reply to: Well, here goes! #1173498yes some of that stuff did happen but not as much as it is led to believe, and yes I was told I will do this, the Army is looking at the fastest way to get me healthy and battle ready again, I love my job and want to stay in till retirement . Plus whatever complications come with this they will take care of even after I get out of the Army the VA will take of me,might take longer to get the care but we will see.

in reply to: Day 2 RAI Treatment #1174206Already planned on talking with my docs if the twitch continued, and yes eating very well my wife was having fun with playing room service last night she would leave food out side the door and knock, plus we are texting back and forth she just dropped a bag of Ice off for my cooler full of water yogurt and other snacks.I am as well warmer than normal, not so much today as I was last night. Missing my bed that is for sure fell off of our futon about 4 times last night.
in reply to: Well, here goes! #1173490Wow AZGravesGuy, feel the same way here, I also had my RAI this morning I am Isolated in the spare bedroom away from my wife 2 cats, Dog, Turtle, and Rabbit! No one told me anything and my wife blew up at me for not asking questions today(or ever) sorry dont think of it till its too late. Anyways Everything we are doing here is directly off the ATA website, only thing is I have 3 days for sure and my work the US Army wants me to go back to work where there is no way possible to stay 6 feet away from people plus working in a aircraft hangar where I profusely sweat all the time. They want me back at work but I still cant sleep with my wife or be with my furry kids, makes no sense at all.
in reply to: New to the forum and In the Army #1174173Ok so after reading quite a few others stories, and the causes of GD, It occurred to me my situation and having the hyperthyroidism Diagnosis in Afghanistan High Tempo, High Stress, constant hurry up get it done and on to the next mission. Looking back at all the times my temper got the best off me and I made someone else cry on the flight line cause I blew up like a ticking time bomb at them, there is for sure a huge psychological effect from GD.
