Thanks Bobbi! I sure hope the weight goes down; especially since I am exercising.

Thanks Kimberly! You were right ,I had RAI in 1995. Felt great for years, last June everything changed. Now finally I feel fantastic. I did speak with my dr today and she is not worried at all about my TSH level. My Free T4 is normal so I am normal (for now).

    Thanks so much!

    Thanks Ski!

I think you are saying that my TSH levels could get higher in a few weeks? Or maybe not.

Thanks for this information! I feel more educated for my discussion with my dr tomorrow.

    Thanks Ski!

I will keep a diary, although I feel good almost everyday. But maybe once I start the diary I will notice days when I am not feeling so good. I will be talking to my dr. tomorrow to discuss the results.

Why would my TSH levels lag behind my T4?

    Thanks again Ski!

Thanks Harpy! I am doing the same thing, eating healthy. I don’t really want to loose weight while I am hyper, so I am not exercising right now. I am doing a little stretching and some pilates. I just ordered an exercise bike, but it will have to wait.

Thanks Shirley! My dr. has lowered my dose by taking a half does one day a week. I guess it is going to take several weeks to notice a difference. I will check to make sure my heart rate does not get any higher. I really appreciate the advice.
    Have a good one!

Whew! Thanks Bobbi! I have a hard time sleeping because I can feel my heart beat. I have been reading other post and thought it might be that. Can’t wait to feel normal, whatever that might be. I have not felt normal in years. I am so grateful for this website, thanks again!

Thanks everyone for your help! I am feeling a lot better, I have more energy.

I did just find out that I am pre-diabetic; anyone out there dealing with that. I have drastically changed my eating habits and hope that keeps becoming diabetic at bay. In a few weeks I have an appointment to see a Rheumatologist, something to do with my SED rate. I thought I read that arthritics is an autoimmune disease; anyone know anything about that.

    Thanks again everyone!

Well I finally talked to the dr., she wants me to adjust my medicine. I will continue with the current dose, but one day out of the week I split the dose in half. Not sure how I feel about that, but I am going to give it a try. I am terrified that I am going to feel worse, although I don’t know how I can. I just hate this disease! Thanks for listening.

Thanks everyone! I have been trying for the last two days to talk with my doctor; no luck yet. According to the ranges on my test results I guess I’ m hyper. I just don’t understand how I can be that way? I am feeling tired most of the time, with bouts of extreme tiredness. I don’t know what normal feels like. My whole body aches! I could sleep all day everyday. There are some days where I don’t feel like I can get out of the bed.(like today) I thought hyper gave you energy? Can’t wait to talk with the dr.

I was diagnosed with GD fifteen years ago and treated with Radioactive Iodine. I felt fine until I had my son 7 years ago. That is when I started feeling so tired. I thought it was because I am an older mother (46). so I have just been dealing with being extremely tired. Well now my hair is falling out, my skin is so dry and cracked , I am so irritated, my memory is terrible, my stomach is irritated after I eat. I also have pain in my hips, thighs, back. After posting this on the GD site, I learned a lot about my disease and discovered that I was not taking my medicine properly. I have been taking my medicine properly for quite some time and felt a lot better. I decided now was a good time to get my blood tested. I received my test results in the mail today and I am lost. I appear to be hyper!

Well I am happy to say that I am feeling so much better! I take my medicine every morning at the same time with lots of water. I try to get at least 6 cups of water a day and paying more attention to the foods I eat. I never made it to the Dr. yet, but will this week. I am curious to see how my blood work will come out to be. I am still a little tired, but not exhausted! What a relief! I am hopeful that I will see more improvements in the near future! Thanks everyone for your advice!

Thanks Shirley! I hope you feel better soon. I wish I had paid more attention to my disease sooner, I am sure I would not be feeling so tired every day of the week. Can’t wait to feel better!
