    Sorry for your troubles.

For exercise you cannot beat a good ole fashioned walk, even if it is at a leisurely pace.:)

Weighed myself on a doggie scale and on a new scale…same thing…

And every lab test I took last Thursday is normal.

    So what’s going on here???

I will skip the dang oatmeal for 2 or 3 weeks and see if anything happens.

This is weird…and I don’t know what else it could be.

1-) I am not a salt freak. I rarely add salt to anything and I eat nothing with added salt.
2-)This is a 1200-1300 calorie diet based on about 5 small meals.
3-)It is very strange — this seemed to begin when I started this diet about January 5 — I weighed myself that week; following week 2 pounds more.

I got discouraged and went to a tape measure instead — I am losing inches and everything I have is bigger and you can see that I am losing…

I weighed myself a few weeks ago: that’s where I saw the weight gain of several pounds more than Week 2 of the diet when 2 pounds more were there.

I like to eat rough cut oatmeal. LOVE rough cut oatmeal! that is all I have for breakfast: I put it in a crock pot and add water and a little dab of butter to give it body and I add cinnamon and ginger and cook it on high for 2 hours.

This is a stupid question but can this “weight gain” be linked to something like oatmeal daily — do carbohydrates hold water, or what???

I eat about 150 grams of carbohydrates a day.

I went back for my blood pressure maintenance; while there, I had my TSH and everything else thyroid checked; that was Thursday afternoon (fat lot of good a TSH and thyroid tests will do in the afternoon; usually it is morning that is checked. I got the nurse practitioner and not the doc (I don’t think iw ill be returning there; the practice is too big and you never get the same doctor when you come in.)

My regular endo is away on an emergency that has to do with family — I won’t be going to see him for a check up until a month from now.

If it is no thyroid what the heck can this be?

Can this really be related to the oatmeal? Yah, this is a stupid question but none of this mess began until I started to eat the oatmeal religiously for breakfast since about start of November.

Nobody has called me back with lab results. I will call there tomorrow.
