    Hello there love2cook,

I just have a coupld of questions for you. You said your T3 and T4 are within normal but your TSH is still low meaning hyper correct? I am battling the same issue and am considering surgery. My question is even though your T3 and T4 levels are normal are you still feeling somewhat ill or why are you opting for surgery? I meet with my endo in Dec to discuss different treatment options as I am sick of feeling sick! Best of luck to you!

    Hey Melissa,

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I to have GD and live in Wisconsin. Depending on where you live in Wisconsin I may be able to provide you with some help on finding somewhere to go to help you. I’m not positive I will have any ideas depending on what County you live in but it’s worth a try:) Hope you get to feeling better soon! You can send me a Private Message with the details of what county you live in, if you so choose!

    Sending prayers your way.

Thanks for the responses. My endo didn’t change my meds she said that I needed to wait another 4 weeks and be retested at that time before doing any adjustments as the TSH lags behind the t3 and t4 levels. I am just wondering though when you still have low TSH is it normal to still feel somewhat hyper even though your t3 t4 levels are normal??

    Thanks again!

    Joy,

Thanks for the advice. I am wondering while your T4 and T3 levels were normal and your TSH level was still abnormal did you feel still somewhat off kilter? Any insight would be much appreciated! Hope you are feeling better now!

    Thanks,

    Krystal

    Congrats Oda!!

So I am curious about your remission story. How long did it take you to be in remission? What type of treatment did you do? Did you alter your diet or take any vitamins? I am new to the world of GD and am hoping the medication works so I to will be able to try and wean myself off of it to go into remission as well! I am hopeful!

Congrats again! So happy for you:)

These posts are great! I to am new to GD and was just diagnosed as of last week. I am having some similar symptoms as well. I am so glad to read to the post from IHC11 regarding the fact that even after being diagnosed the person still felt as though they were bipolar. I to have been feeling like maybe it’s not the GD that is causing all of these horrific symptoms and maybe I’m just truly going insane. I was feeling like I was starting to dissociate, meaning sometimes I am feeling so panicked that I feel outside my own body. Such a crazy scary feeling. Thanks for the great post, it truly made my night!

Also to Annie- I am sorry that you are going through this, it is a very scary time. Just remember your not alone! Your husband sounds just like my mother. She keeps telling me you are not the disease. I am internally angry everytime she says this because I try to be positive, but the disease sometimes overpowers my ability to be overally happy. I am hoping once I get regulated this will not be such a daunting task. As for the hives I’m on methimazole and haven’t experience any hives but best of luck. For the insomnia I have been using melatonin which is a supplement and it has been helping me sleep at night, I’m not a doctor but I try to do more herbal things to help allievate the symptoms I am having. Trust me just sleeping better can make a world of difference. One question, so right now are you on any medication for the hyperthryoidism? Best of luck to you! You will get through this! Big hugs <img decoding=” title=”Smile” />

Hello everyone! Thanks for the words of encouragement! I feel much better after reading your posts on how things with GD will get better. I was given Xanex today from my endocrinologist for the anxiety and insomnia and I am hoping that this will help me until the Methimazole starts to kick in. I do have a few other questions regarding my symptoms. Has anyone else ever felt like they were outside there body looking in at certain points while trying to get there levels regulated? I feel like this certain parts of the day and it causes me to panic. I feel like I am outside myself, such a weird feeling and hard to describe. I never had this prior to being diagnosed with GD. If anyone has had this symptom, did it seem to go away once the TSH levels were regulated and the medicine started to work. I am hoping this symptom to will pass. I feel so blessed to have so much support through this message board, it is truly amazing. I am so thankful to have this to come to when I am feeling down and out. I plan to keep you all updated on my progress and hope to be feeling much better in a few weeks, I am confident that hopefully I will be able to beat this and go into remission!!
