thank you!
in reply to: Things that inhibit t4 to t3 converstion #1066382Hi guys- I think there’s a confusion. I got the impression these are inhibitors … which are important to know post treatment. I do not by any means think they can cure graves.
For example if I go the RAI route.. I may try to avoid taking estrogen based birth control pills, since most replacements are just t4 and there have many numerous studies staying excess estrogen can inhibit (decrease, slow down) the t4/t3 conversion.
in reply to: Things that inhibit t4 to t3 converstion #1066378Ski- I don’t think it totally stops it, but it slows it down. After finding this info looked I researched medical journals and I found scholarly peer reviewed articles and found similar information. Maybe some of the overweight population are overweight partly because of this. Also- I imagine it has to do with large quantities.
in reply to: What to do??? #1066387This happened to me too. I was allergic to tapazole, went on ptu of 200 mg a day, got hives, lowered it to 100mg a day for now … hoping my body can warm up to. so far going good.
I wonder if the generic medications would be different effecting our bodies than the brand name kinds?? I was on generic meds.
in reply to: Please tell me yoru RAI story!!! #1066411I am pretty much terrfied:(
I am allergic to tapazole, just started PTU but I feel like hives will come with this too. I dread RAI… especially since I am getting marred in june and My dress is already fitted! I wish this all would happen 5 months from now.
