I broke out in hives about 2 weeks after starting methimazole, it was horrible and took several days to go away. I went to Urgent Care was treated for hives and told to stop taking methimazole. The sad thing was, I was starting to feel better. I ended up on PTU until I made the decision to do RAI.

So sorry to hear you were treated so poorly. Good luck as you continue to find the treatment that works best for you.

My endo just called and is putting me back on 88 mgs of synthroid.

    T3 0.7
    T4 0.3

    TSH 35.79

Hoping I start to feel better in the next few weeks. I am just feeling so crummy right now.

Thank you for the information. I went and did my labs today and will be waiting to hear from my doctor tomorrow.

Meanwhile, I am still having headache, fatigue, and tummy issues. Boo!

I just had RAI on Friday and I have NO appetite. I am staying with my grandma so of course I am eating, but nothing sounds good. I am going for my first check up next week.

Has it changed now that you are farther out? Did you gain any weight? I am worried about gaining weight so this might help me out in the long run!

I had RAI on Friday morning. Am staying in the guest room at my grandma’s house. I will be going back home tomorrow.

I feel fine, but have no appetite. Wondering if anyone else experienced this? I guess this is ok since I am really worried about gaining weight back. I lost about 20-25 pounds and certainly had it to lose.

Still not sleeping great but hoping that will change. I have my first follow up with labs and my doctor next week.

I am a teacher gearing up to go back to work. Hoping my journey isn’t too up and down as this is a busy time of year. Luckily I am only working part time and my own children will be in school all day.

Still trying to figure out this goofy disease…
