These are some great tips, Mamabear (love the name, by the way). I wish I had found some of these tips sooner when I was first diagnosed many moons ago. I’ll be sure to print this list off and keep it on my fridge. I can’t think of anything negative that comes from this list — only the positives. I’ll be sure to let you know if these tips managed to help me out. I’m sure they will, but a little update doesn’t hurt. Thanks a bunch! <img decoding=” title=”Very Happy” />

God Bless ya, Oda! Whenever I hear of conditions going into remission, it makes my heart swell. Obviously, I’m aware that we don’t know each other, but I’m happy for you! Whatever you’re doing is working, so you should totally keep doing it. Perhaps I can learn a thing or two from ya. Congrats! I wish you all the best!

I’ve found that the way we eat has a direct link towards whatever conditions we have. If the food isn’t the cause, it certainly does eliminate or produce certain symptoms. Essentially, everything is connected and it’s all very interesting. For example, people with epilepsy eat a ketogenic diet. A Ketogenic diet is high in fats/calories, low in portions and it seems to assist in seizure prevention. Perhaps the same can be said for certain diets and graves disease. So far, I have yet to find a diet that "works." Maybe I can try a gluten free diet sometime.

I’ve inquired with many surgeons in the past before actually going under the knife. My advice? Don’t go with JUST ANY SURGEON. Look at their credentials, ask former patients and don’t go to them if you feel uncomfortable in any way, shape or form. Of course, this pretty much goes for any type of surgery. When I finally found the most reliable surgeon, I took the plunge and I’ve been very grateful ever since. Having patience is a gift! I mean this with complete sincerity.

Hope you find the right surgeon and I hope all goes well. Good luck!
