It would be helpful to know your references, and if they are evidence based studies, with a large longitudinal study, with a sizable population, with all the strict protocols that are required for good research. It would begin with someone asking the question. Why would they ask the question? Very thought provoking.

Thank you and that is why I posted here to hopefully start a conversation and find more information. For me, eating for my blood type has been beneficial, and wondered if it has for others. I have read your posts stating diet hasn’t been a problem for you. So great for you. Not my case.

in reply to: Terrified of Graves #1184149Such wonderful posts from folks that know. So grateful you have this at the beginning stages of your diagnosis.
8 months postpartum? Take a breather Mama. Easier said than done, I know. You sound like a very motivated person
What a year you have had! I find when my symptoms are overwhelming, taking time to breathe is key, actually excusing myself from a situation. It took me a long time to give myself permission to do so. It causes body fatigue/fibro flares When I do not. Just not worth it to me anymore. When my son was that small, watching him breathe while he slept on me helped calm me
Beautiful memory.
in reply to: Breastfeeding while hyperthyroid #1184078Great to hear. I am curious about your daughters appt, if you would like to share. How did it go?
in reply to: Breastfeeding while hyperthyroid #1184075New to the forum, however been lurking for quite some time, in which I will introduce myself properly at another time.
I just wanted to give you some support. I exclusively breastfed my son until he weaned at 3 1/2. I didn’t know I had Graves Disease- diagnosed when my Son was 5. He is a bright, healthy boy. I do have his labs drawn occasionally to check for antibodies since autoimmune is genetic and in the cards possibly in his future.
I wonder if you have local breastfeeding support?
