Thanks Ski I know and the more I learn about this condition it makes me wonder if we all have sometthing in common about our lifestyles of course the Graves also. But the way you are is the way you are i just wish sometimes people would go to someone else ,just like you said they certainly could. Deb

Thank you for the response that is what I love about this website I ask a question and people jump in to give their veiws I JUST LOVE THAT!!!!!!
I am trying real hard to find the peace in everything I do now, sometimes it is really hard. But I do not know about any of your pasts but my past,I am the go to person in the whole family,if you want to hear the absolute truth call Deb you might not like it but she will give it to you anyway,so see I have always been in the mists (?) so to speak. And now with graves I have to distance myself in some situations because it just feels better to me. Thanks again Deb.

    Ski,
Thank you very much for the feedback my regular doctor made me an appt. for my second opinion but it was for November I called her this morning and told her I wanted to hear options she fit me in on Friday morning. I mean if I have to do something right away if I want to go on meds for a while till I decide should I not have that option? I just met a women last week and her brother had his thyroid taken out a year ago and he has to get rai next week. This is the kind of stuff I need to hear from a doctor and get under control myself so I can make a right decision for myself.

    Kaicee,
I hope everything turns out okay for you and your eyes. I am not where you are at as far as the graves(just diagnosed) but I already told two doctors i want it out !!! But i did not know that after the thyroid is gone you can still have eye problems. I mean do we not have enough going on with our bodies to think you fixed the problem to turn around and have another. Well good luck to you. Deb

Ski, Thank you very much for getting back to me. I joined this group as soon as i talked to this endo, and i went and bought two books on the thyroid. If you go on meds for graves is that when you have the chance of getting very ill from stress or sickness. I guess what I am asking is in your opinion the best treatment burn it out?
    Thanks Deb
