Thanks to both of you for your responses. Oh, how I wish I could peer ahead and see if this madness would ever resolve before resorting to all that surgery. Would it heal in three more years? Five? Never? On the other hand, after two years I am really tired of frantically avoiding photos and mirrors, and looking like this.

He does not have much info on what my subjective experience should be like, weaning off methimazole. I think I may actually be his only graves patient and he seems uncertain of how to treat me. He wants me to go see an endo ASAP. ” title=”Smile” /> Endo is booked til December.

Anyhow, my best bet seems to be seeing how other people have weaned to a low dose and how fast they were told to do it, or what worked best. I have to admit now that trying to do over a period of days isn’t working for me.
