    Hi lileone,
    Everyone has given good advice. I would like to add, I am also allergic to sulpha drugs (hive reaction) and I have been taking methimazole for almost 2 years without any issues. It might be worth seeking a second opinion if you are not comfortable making a permanent decision right away.
