Free T4: 2.90 reference 0.85 – 1.71 ng/dL
TSH: <0.02 reference 0.27 – 4.20 uIU/mLMy results just before the RAI treatment were:
Free T3: 4.86 reference 2.77 – 5.27 pg/mL
Free T4: 1.15 reference 0.78 – 2.19 ng/dL
TSH: <0.003 reference 0.465 – 4.680 uIU/mLI continue to have no problems. It seems like everything is still the same as before. I am still on Propranolol 20mg twice daily. My next visit with Dr. Hao is in September.

in reply to: Hi everyone, we are back! #1065216HI,
I just had The RAI done on June 3rd. I live here in the US but I also have a multinodular goiter. I started on a beta blocker and didn’t have any problems with the RAI treatment I had to stay away from people for 2 to 3 days that is when you are most as risk with it. I have a 2 year old daughter, I stayed away from her for 4 days and then was careful with my contact with her for a week. I go back to see my Endo on July 15. I have had no complications from the RAI I had very little throat discomfort, I would do it again if I had the choice.
in reply to: New to this. I am Really Confused. #1065361A new update:
Well I have gained a little bit of weight back I don’t know if it is due to being home for 8 days with not much to do or if I am starting to go Hypo. I am starting to loose a lot of hair too. What types of things should I be looking for as I go Hypo?
Thank you

I thought I would update you on how things are going. So far I took the RAI treatment on the 3rd of June. I saw my Endo one week after that. He wanted to do a follow up, he said that most people have symptoms about that time. I however have had no changes yet, some minor throat irritation but that is all. I have been doing pretty well otherwise. I go back to see the Endo in 4 weeks and every 4 weeks after that until I go hypo. and we will go from there. Thanks for all your input…. I will keep you updated on my progress as I go.
Thanks again
Allison
in reply to: New to this. I am Really Confused. #1065357Hi,
I do have a few questions my dr. hasn’t said if I need to change my diet at all or not I see him again on the 8th. But until then does anybody know?
in reply to: New to this. I am Really Confused. #1065356Thank you for all of your input. I have gone ahead and taken the RAI today. So far I have just been really tired. I slept for a couple of hours. Its kinda lonely around here. I have a 2 year old who is with my sister while I go thru this. I have a very supportive family which really helps. Now its the waiting game to see if this worked or not.
