)I really dislike it when doctors say that what we’re dealing with isn’t thyroid related. Boo hiss to that. Of course it has nothing to do with your thyroid! You don’t have one! Hee hee! – But, I would say that it could very well have something to do with the levothyroxine. I’m on 112 mcg. of Synthroid and yes, I’ve lost A LOT of hair. Actually I’ve lost a lot of hair since starting methimazole initially and then the Synthroid. I’ve been on Synthroid 6 months now, and it has gotten a little bit better. I don’t pull out quite so much hair in the shower or through out the day, but my hair has thinned. It doesn’t look like it much to the average person, but I notice it.
