      Hi Kim,

Some of the symptoms you’re experiencing may well be due to finally going hypo ~ the best thing to do is get your blood drawn ASAP and see where your levels lie. Starting thyroid hormone replacement as soon as possible after you’ve gone hypo is critical, especially since it takes some time to build up in your system before you start feeling better again (and also, in the meantime, your levels may be falling even further). Blood tests are the only concrete way to make sure if that’s your issue.

P.S. If it’s NOT your thyroid levels, press your GP or your endo to continue searching for the cause.

Hi all, Yes I’m back and I’m concerned and well, totally exhausted. This weekend wiped the crud out of me and I have NO energy and it even “hurts” to make an effort to use my muscles (ANY of my muscles). I’m extremely tired. Could I actually be going hypo finally? The strange side is, I did see an allergist (remember I posted here about my allergies) and was tested and well, am now on Allegra for tree, molds, and grass allergies. That was over a week ago. My eyes are still swollen and well, now I’m swelling in my hands, feet, face, etc. Is this part of Graves or going hypo etc? I dont have my heart palp. or any heart racing but even typing this is tiring me out. I just ache (and no it not the same ache as coming down with the flu). I ache when I use my muscles and tire so very easily. Have the moderators over the years seen anything like my post posted over the years or am I just being strange? NOt sure if I should call my endocrinologist as my allergist said the swollen eyes are not the cause of allergies. She has never seen this type.

Thanks ahead of time for the responses.

When I went hypo the first time, my eyes were swollen to the size of apricots. I got charlie horse style cramps in my leg muscles as well. As Ski suggested, get your levels checked. It might not be thyroid, but if it IS thyroid, you need to stay on top of things.
