    Hi all!
I had my RAI almost 3 weeks ago. I haven’t gone in for my bloodwork yet, but I feel much better. The reason I know it is working, my goiter is shrinking. It has gone from being the size of an apple to just slightly enlarged. I go Friday for blood work and I will post next week after I get the results.

I hope you are all doing well!!!

Wow, great news – definitely keep us posted!

And when you go in for that first set of labs, make sure that your doc is looking at Free T4 and T3 and not just TSH…TSH can remain suppressed for quite some time and is not a good benchmark for determining when to start replacement hormone.

    Take care!

I was right. I am not hypo yet, but my doc started me on levo thyroxine so that I don’t have to dig out of a hypo hole. I am loving my doc.

Hi Amy – It is believed that going hypO post-RAI increases the risk of eye involvement, so it sounds like your doc is being extra careful! Definitely continue to keep us posted!
