    Hi all,
For those of you who are interested; the WHO has released a report on the Effects of Chemicals on the Endocrine System. The summaries that I have read have lead me to download the whole report – massive reading though – 289 pages. Will take me a while to get through. More research is needed though so here’s hoping further research and advancement will be made. A link to the media release: http://www.who.int/mediacentre/news/releases/2013/hormone_disrupting_20130219/en/index.html
Will report back once I have read (and hopefully absorbed – LOL) some of the findings hopefully a Degree in Endocrinology won’t be needed. Nothing much has changed after my last Endo visit, still super high antibodies FT3 and FT4 still out of whack and most disappointedly tsh has dropped below .04 again. So still travelling the same path although my Endo is hopeful that at my next visit on 14th May he will see me minus my thyroid. Please, please Mr Cardiologist (Sir) rubber stamp my surgery approval when I visit in 3 1/2 weeks. Stay well all.
    Cheers, hugs and kisses

Hi Debbie – Thanks for posting! This has been a hot topic as of late. Chemicals that are believed to cause disruption in the thyroid gland include chemicals like PCBs and BPT, as well as pesticides like DDT.

This is a link to a recent statement from The Endocrine Society on the subject:

Hope that all goes well with the cardiologist – definitely keep us posted!
