Your way makes much more sense to me and when I go see him on March 5th I will ask him to clarify. I booked surgery for the 27th but for me if I’m not comfortable I’ll postpone if I feel a second opinion is necessary to put my mind at ease.
Come to think of it I’m pretty sure he meant two different surgeries. I remember him saying that when he removes the bone..I would probably wonder the need for that surgery; that the eyes would go back about 2-3 mm and that I wouldn’t see much difference until he removed the fat??? And we were talking about doing both eyes at the same time. I wonder if the surgeries are done differently here in Canada?

Personally I would like the eyes to go back to 19 or 20.
Am I asking for too much?

No, you’re not asking too much. Don’t quote me here, but I think the number my surgeon gave me was 18-20mm for normal proptosis. Anything above that is considered exophthalmos. I think my eyes are now at 19 or 20mm. If yours are at 25 and 26mm, then that’s significant. Then again, your eyes at 22mm might look normal, whereas my eyes at 23mm and 25mm looked drastically different since my “normal” eyes are very deep-set.
