me too….my feet are ALWAYS in extreme pain, I do my best to tune it out. I understand it is just inflamation. I went to a podiatrist who gave me a steroid shot in each foot, and reccommended orthotics. The shots helped for several weeks, the orthotics sit on the shelf, my feet hurt too much to wear them. Is this a connection to Graves?

I’m wondering if there are others out there who’s feet are extremely sore. The tops of my feet are puffy and they ache most of the time. I have a hard time wearing shoes as my feet don’t like to be "cramped" into anything. I’m allergic to Methimazole so can’t take anything until after blood work Feb. 23 and a visit to my endo on March 16. My only possible course of action might be RAI! I’m willing to do anything at this point to get some relief. Any answers will be most helpful!

Sore feet is not one of the regular symptoms of hyperthyroidism, and it is not to my knowledge associated with the antibodies either. The problem may be that when we are hyperthyroid none of the body’s systems are working properly, and it is possible to cause additional pressure to areas already under stress. In other words, if someone has any underlying problem already, the out-of-whack thyroid hormones can aggravate it.
