Good to hear from you Janet.

Yes the treatment choice is very personal. I will pray for her continued wellness. I am gld to hear she is feeling better and we are only a click away for any questions.

    Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to update you on my Daughter…
Since first posting and finding great support in all of you, we sought 2 opinions of her Graves and decided on RAI. Yes, I was very hesitant being that she is only 3. But with research, the Dr. answering and addressing all our concerns, and all of your help this was the best choice for my daughter.
She had the RAI done the week before Thanksgiving and is doing better. The first several days after the RAI she complained that her neck was sore, but Tylenol helped. She remains on her beta blockers for now and her next follow-up appt is next week. She also is a trooper when it comes to her blood draws! Over the weekend she was so brave and was only worried about getting stickers! My daughter is also following up with an opthamologist in 2 weeks. Her eyes are affected from the Graves — barely being able to close at night. I may be crazy, but I think they look better already. They don’t look as puffy and I actually see creases in skin under her eyes (not sure that is good, but I feel it is since they are not so swollen).
I still wonder if we chose the right treatment. But my good friend and all of you remind me not to dwell on that — after all, we did choose our gut feeling facing all the odds.
I’m sure as time goes on I will have more quesitons and concerns. I’m very thankful I found all of you and have others to talk to.
    Have a wonderful day!
    Janet
