After 8 years on MMI, I’m looking forward to getting the TT over with. I have a great surgeon, I’m ready to go and I just know I will feel better. I’ve researched and researched for eight years, felt bad most of the time and I know it’s the right time for me to do this!

I appreciate all of you that have shared your positive stories, it helps so much. Remember me in your prayers and my medical team as well, because how well I do is largely determined by how well they do. Thank you and God bless.

You sound like me…. I was so anxious and eager to have my TT I was counting the days weeks ahead of time. Everyone thought I was nuts to be so excited about an upcoming surgery.

That was 13 weeks ago and I haven’t regretted it for a minute. Good luck to you and the medical team. Since you’ve done your research, I’m sure everything will be fine. :)

Best wishes for a speedy recovery! I had my TT on 8/8 and am very happy that I finally had it done. I had a 6 year remission (which was great while it lasted) but had struggled with maintaining stable levels over the last 1.5 years on ATDs. I will do my first labs on Monday and see my endo later next week. Overall, I feel better even though I suspect I may be a bit hypo on the replacement dose I started after surgery. I feel relieved that the surgery is done and i am onto the next step toward wellness.

I felt the very same way! Was SO glad to move forward with the surgery. And an added bonus post op, was feeling really good, but still on sick leave from work, so organized drawers, took walks, went out for dinner, and even took a small two day vacation away from all responsibilities!
You will do well, the best to you! Keep us posted.

Best wishes and thoughts on this journey. I can say 8 weeks after my TT, I am still relearning my body, but have had great improvements in many aspects of my health.

Do keep us updated, you’re in my prayers :)
