Hello,
My 14 yr old son was just diagnosed last week. We see the Endo on Wednesday. I am wondering about some treatment options I have read about if anyone has experience with these.
Meds – do these have bad side effects? Do they control the thyroid hormones good are are there problems?

RAI – if you have had this done, can you tell me the good and bad of it?

surgery – is the removal route done pretty frequently and is it easy to get a docotr to do it? Do you have to try the other treatments first? If you had this can you tell me the good and bad of it?
