    Just stumbled across thes couple of studies, I have read that some individuals have better outcomes when they take their replacement hormone in the evening rather than the morning, maybe here or elsewhere.
    Our bodies natural, circadian rhythms regulate hormones to have their Highest TSH levels and hence also Thyroid hormones while we sleep.
    It may be worth discussing with your doctor if you are having difficulties in settling down when dosing in the morning.
    First link is about taking AM or PM dose, second one is looking at the actual circadian rhythm of the thyroid hormones.

    Thank you for sharing this; I just started 75 mcg of Synthroid a week ago this past Monday after hitting a bad hypothyroid bottom about 4 months post RAI.

    I discussed taking Synthroid in the evening at bedtime with my endocrinologist as I too had read some people had better results with absorption. My endocrinologist said this is a good idea and fine;

    He also had thyroid issues so is familar from experience I am guessing.

    Plus again as we all know no calcium or iron 4 hours before or after T4 and my endocrinologist said even some foods which contain such; plus he even recommended 4-5 hours in between.

    Always new information coming out! :) beach

    I admit to taking mine in the morning so I can snack after dinner sometimes!

    My endo said I could have some calcium in the foods I ate, but I shouldn’t be drinking a big glass of milk (or something else with lots of calcium). Not sure if she is totally right on that, but at least in the morning I have the requisite empty stomach.

    i don’t think there is anything definitely wrong or right about this subject.
    I take mine in the morning. Interesting comments on the subject. As usual,
    the endos won’t necessarily have a united opinion on this one, and there is really no particular reason why they need to.
