Hello – here are a couple of good referral sites for endocrinologists:
http://www.aace.com/ and http://www.thyroid.org/.
On the AACE site, click on “Find an Endocrinologist” link on the right-hand side of the screen. Be sure and select the specialty “thyroid dysfunction” when doing a search on this site, as many endocrinologists specialize primarily in diabetes.
On the thyroid.org site, move your cursor over where it says “Public & Patients” (towards the top center of the screen) and then click on “Find a Specialist.” All of the doctors on this site have expertise in thyroid issues.
We don’t currently have any support groups in B.C., but if you’d like to send your contact info to info@gdatf.org, the Foundation keeps a running list of patients who are interested in support groups in various parts of the country.
