Hey there,
It has been AGES since I have posted. I have not been in the best health since about February. One thing after the other it seems. I had sinus surgery in March, and then came down with penumonia about 6 weeks later. My nose and such has just not been the same since. I then went into a DEEP dark hole of depression… anxiety, insomnia.. you name it. I’m dealing with it.
Here’s the latest.. MY EYES! My right eye, below the bottom lashes, right up to the ridge, I developed a red, dry patchy, itchy rash. I assumed it was from all the crying I had been doing and using not so soft tissue to wipe my face all the time. Or maybe a new face soap, etc. Well, two weeks later, it’s still there. I feel very dry all the time… no tears. Two days ago, I noticed my right eye was a little puffy. Today, both eyes, swollen. I basically look as though I have been crying for days.
My GP has told me, I no longer have Grave’s disease, since I don’t havea Thyroid. I have read, this is not at all true. He has also told me, it is impossible for the TED to continue post surgery. I do not believe him.
I need direction. Do I need to see an Endo? My GP, or any eye doctor? Has anyone else, post-thyroidectomy, had prgression of TED? If so, how long before it got worse, etc etc…
Help.. I am flipping out here…. and need some direction!
Thanks, Friends!
