As you all know, my doc upped my Methimazole…as a result instead of feeling better it feels like my GD symptoms are amplified. I am burning up (again), no sweating thank goodness, I feel anxious, etc.

I will get labs drawn in a few weeks…I am praying for better labs…

back to the cycle of finding that sweet spot..so frustrating…

I need to buy a fan for my office…

I needed a larger dose of Tapazole to get close to normal, still haven’t hit normal for T3, T4 in 7 months, TSH has been undetected the whole time too. I was taking 40mg for a few months and now 25mg. The endo was surprised I didn’t stabilize on 20mg. Then he upped it to 40mg. If he had of done a small jump in meds I think I would have stayed hyper, so maybe this is what you are going through? I do the labs and have my results on my computer in 2-3 hours. In the past, 20 mg of Tapazole was enough…go figure. Good Luck!

    Hello Darcy,

I hear you. I hate the heat intolerance. I want to feel cold but the only time I do is at work, where they keep it very cold. At home I have heat attacks. I’m doing fine and then next thing I know, I’m burning up. The Dr. decreased my Methimazole 3 weeks ago so now I’m worried that I’m going hyper again. I hate it but I’ll be getting labs next week. I wish you the best with your labs and that you find your sweet spot soon.

    Caro :)

Hi Darcy – I would suggest keeping close tabs on your symptoms, and if you continue to feel miserable, push for a quicker set of labs.

And if you actually have a fever that is worrisome, a quicker trip to your GP or an urgent care center might be a good idea.

    Take care!
