    Hi Everyone,

I have a quick question regarding Graves’ and lymph nodes. I’ve had a couple of enlarged lymph nodes in my neck since prior to my Graves’ diagnosis. Could these be related to Graves’, or should I be concerned about another cause?

    Thanks!

    Hi misslex!

I would def go check it out with your dr. No need to be playing around with things!! Could just be something simple, but better off safe than sorry!

    Good luck!

Agree with Stymie. Sometimes, nodes in neck are enlarged cause we have a cold, flu, sore throat, etc. Good to have someone check you out. But not an emergency.

have them checked out – most likely nothing, but you never know!

i had swollen lymph nodes for 8 months – they ended up doing a ct scan (which you should never do with graves) and found a tumor in my chest – the lymph nodes were “nothing” though…

interesting, now that my thyroid and tumor are gone so are my swollen lymph nodes – i would have thought they would be huge right after surgery…

My partner also had a number of complications including swollen lymph glands, enlarged spleen and a collapsed lung, at that stage she ended up with three different specialists to deal with these medical issues.

Although they said theses things were not related to GD, all have resolved as her condition has improved.

But either way, do get it checked out.
