    Hello;

    My left gland under my jaw has been swollen for around 3 months now. I am wondering if this is due to Graves? I did a search and didn’t see anything similar. I have had Graves (dx and sx) since June’ish. I am on- and-off meds since I really feel better not taking anything and have no symtoms (will have labs again next week) for the past month.

    I just hate to sound like a hypochondriac going to the doctor for a swollen gland, but I have been watching it for months and it has not changed – I’m not sick, no allergy changes…I do put Protopic and a steroid cream on my neck due to vitiligo, but have not been inconsistent with this…obviously I am not a good patient with any of my diseases…

    Any thoughts are appreciated – I’ll probably just keep watching it, but because of the steroids and Protopic I do worry a bit about a reaction.

    Thanks!

    Hello – I’m not familiar with swollen glands being specifically related to Graves’, but honestly, if it was me, I would make an appointment to get this checked out ASAP.

    Obviously, there is *something* going on, so you are definitely not a hypochondriac!

    And I would really encourage you to do whatever it takes to get in a place where you can be consistent with managing these health issues. Whether that is finding a different doctor that you really like, setting timers/reminders for medications, or something else that will suit you. Being inconsistent with your treatment is not likely to be helpful, and it could one day make your health issues even more difficult to deal with.

    Take care!
