Well, this topic has never come up, so my advice would be to ask your doctor to be absolutely certain. My GUESS (uneducated as it is) would be that swimming presents no danger to her or anyone else after RAI.

If my husband and I decide on RAI treatment for our daughter, she will be getting medical care at the Children’s hospital about 3 hours from our home. We will get a hotel room due to the overnight stay. I’m curious, I read that they cannot come in close contact with others for a couple of days. BUt how about swimming in a hotel pool? Is this a big no? I haven’t found any info on this when doing research. She is an active little girl and I want her to try and feel normal if she goes through this. She loves to swim (and I’m thinking ahead) that if we choose RAI, I’d like to get a hotel with a pool if possible. Of course, I wouldn’t want to put any one else in danger. Any knowledge anyone has would be appreciated.

I have been curious about this post, but only just now read it. I agree with Ski. She should be able to swim in the pool. Please be sure to tell us if the doctor says differently.
