met with the ENT today. He is going to remove a mediastinal tumor behind my collarbone (just below my thyroid). Too dangerous to biopsy it due to blood vessels.

He is recommending that he remove my thyroid at the same time….I told him I am not sure if I am “there” yet with my Graves…I have an appointment with my endo on Tuesday so I emailed him to let him know we need to discuss.

I am HORRIBLE about taking my meds. I think I would be better with Synthroid since I NEED it…I just don’t want to gain weight – I know that is dumb, but I work so hard to stay in shape and with my age (47), it is a concern.

So, have surgery on the 18th when we return from Italy…at least I now have a “plan” with regards to the tumor and he said that he doesn’t think it will be cancerous:) Just have to decide about the thyroid….

    Hi,

Just wanted to wish you the bet of luck in whatever you decide to do. I hope your surgery goes well and there is no sign of cancer. I will keep you in my prayers.

    Big hugs.
