Hi Bruce! I’m still chuckling over my first chat session!
I’m glad I could finally connect with you and the others. Sorry I missed Rachel! By the way, the Vikings finally won in overtime 16-13. It’s been embarrassing to watch them play lately, but I’m a Minnesotan at heart!
Just curious – is the surgery for strabismus similar to the extraocular muscle surgery I had for double vision. If so, I did not have to wear bandages after surgery, but the stitches on my eye really bothered me when I blinked. Actually, I hated this surgery more than the decompression! Go figure. . .
Best of luck with your surgery! I’ll be thinking of you!
Debby
That’s what I’m having, the surgery for double vision. Great to hear that I won’t have to be blind after the surgery. Not so great to hear that the stitches can bother! Actually I think he warned me about that.
Was a nice chat with you and Jake. Hope to do it again soon!
Bruce
Hi again, Bruce! So, I wasn’t quite sure what strabismus was – thought it was double vision, but my dictionary said something about being cross-eyed. I suppose you’d have double vision if you were cross-eyed?!?
It was a quick, easy one day procedure that automatically fixed the double vision for me. I hated those stitches though! Maybe yours won’t be as bothersome.
Take Care, Debby
P.S. Green Bay is losing on Monday Night Football – so how about those Vikes!!
Having strabismus surgery on thursday. Really looking foward to getting it done and having my eyes straight again.
Jake, do they bandage your eyes after the surgery? I forgot to ask but somehow got the impression that they don’t.
Bruce
Jeesh, a football freak obviously!
Thanks for the info and wishes, Debby. Got a email from Jake a bit ago and he said his stitches didn’t bother much, so we’ll see. Maybe can get some morphine or something
(child of the 60’s you know)
Hope to catch you on the chat soon! (Sunday?)
Bruce
