I was diagnosed 25 years ago, treated successfully, and have been stable for 20 years. I’m 60 years old. Have a fever (102-103) and no other symptoms, for 3 days. Also, an aversion to salt. Am trying to run a small company, and the Dr’s suggestion to wait 2 weeks and call again, just doesn’t cut it for me. Blood test showed normal white cell count. Any ideas?

You haven’t said what your successful treatment was, so it is difficult to say whether or not you need to nag your doctor some more. We aren’t medically trained here, so your best bet, if you are worried, IS, most likely, to nag the doctor. A fever is not Graves’ related, however. And not wanting salt isn’t art of it either as far as I know.

I hope you are feeling better soon.

Thanks. I took radioactive iodine many years ago, and that got my thyroid level down nicely. I take a small dosage of synthroid now.
I do appreciate your response – Doesn’t sound like my current issue is related!
