Tami, I can relate to your dilemma very much as I too am resisting RAI and trying to manage this disease in other ways. I can tell you that I wouldn’t be doing that without the blessing of my Endocrinologist. There are so many serious side effects with this disease that you need to feel good about your doctor and don’t make decisions that don’t involve his or her support. While I read this site every day, I don’t post very much because this one seems to be here to support the traditional methods of treatment plus there are so many people that post here with serious side effects that whatever I am going through is minor in comparison.
There is lots of information on the internet but my best advise to you, is involve your doctor in whatever decision you make because you don’t want to do anything that is going to endanger yourself. Get a second opinion if that would help in your decision making process. Claudia
