Just wondering what anyone has found for sport eye wear (for soccer and other activities). My eyes are quite sensitive and I am unable to wear contacts. If I wear my rx eye glasses or sunglasses the air/breeze bothers them from running/biking or whatever. My rx is fairly high, so they don’t make any wrap around glasses and the ones I’ve found that might work – my eyeballs or lashes touch the lense. The side shields don’t protect from above. I thought I found a perfect pair of sportwear glasses with foam that went around the inside of them – but when they placed the order the eyewear store found out that my rx was too high and with that set of glasses it wouldn’t work. So it seems the problems I’ve run into are either the lenses sit too close to my eye (I have some protrusion), they don’t offer enough protection or with those I like my rx is too high and my vision would be distorted. I’m also going to admit I’m a little vain – I want something that looks reasonable on me – not completely “nerdy”. The store I’m going to has been very helpful and they keep ordering glasses for me to try, but haven’t found anything that works yet. I’m soooo frustrated, but I don’t want to stop doing the activities I love. Are there any products anyone has had some luck with in prescription sport eyewear?? Thanks!
